Jonah Vitale-Wolff (he/all) , Site Director, is a Sephardic land devotee, abolitionist, farmer, designer, carpenter, father of two amazing adult children, uncle to many, partner, brother, and proud plant nerd. In addition to being a student of the land, Jonah also is a student of Capoeira Angola, a child of hip-hop, an avid long distance swimmer, canoer, and meditator. Jonah’s deep commitment to beloved community extends to human and non-human kin, land, and waters as family and teachers. It is this deep connection to the natural world that inspires Jonah’s teaching to connect with the divine spark in all of us and the miracle of being alive on this beautiful planet. Jonah draws on over two decades of natural building and timber framing to inform his building artistry and instruction. As a self-taught designer, Jonah’s intuitive ecological design creates spaces that are beautiful, functional, durable, and uplift the brilliance and dignity that our communities deserve while minimizing impact on land and climate.
